Windows Defender which was renamed to Microsoft Defender Antivirus comes bundled with the Microsoft Windows operating system. While the free security within Windows offers some very basic protections it is nothing on the scale that Microsoft Defender for Business offers.

What is Microsoft Defender for Office 365?

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 differs from Business in that its security offering focuses on the Office suite of Apps and Services, rather than endpoint and device attack protection.
