Microsoft 365 Tenancy Migration

The Need.

As with any large organisation in the process of acquiring additional businesses, MoneySuperMarket’s main challenge was streamlining the process of merging under one tenancy. Cloud-to-cloud migrations are notoriously difficult, and MoneySuperMarket enlisted the expertise of a cloud specialist and Microsoft Solutions Partner to assist in the data migration.

Undertaking a tenant-to-tenant migration additionally provided the perfect opportunity to update their current systems. Stripe OLT migrated MoneySuperMarket from Exchange 2010 Hybrid to Exchange 2016 Hybrid, ensuring that systems were up-to-date, secure, and met the needs of their workforce.

The next challenge was migrating users, devices, mailboxes and service settings from one Microsoft 365 tenancy to another. This is where Stripe OLT’s support came in.

The Solution

With a proactive approach, a positive relationship with the MoneySuperMarket team, and with our vast experience in Microsoft tenancy to tenancy migrations, we suggested a different approach that saved time and money. With Stripe OLT’s experience in these types of migrations we know where the pitfalls are and helped guide the client around them to deliver projects with minimal impact on staff.

The Microsoft migration project with MoneySuperMarket completed out of hours by the Stripe OLT team to minimise disruptions to MoneySuperMarket’s customers and employees.

Fundamentally, the two major benefits to this project were the streamlined tenant migration of MoneySuperMarket’s procured businesses, in addition to ensuring that software and systems were secure, up-to-date and suitable across their entire infrastructure.

“The team and MoneySuperMarket Group met with Stripe OLT only a few months before we had to complete the project end to end.

Stripe OLT bought to the table huge amounts of knowledge and expertise in Office 365 tenant to tenant migration. There were many weeks of meeting to gather the current configurations and put details to the scope of the plan.

Within no time at all, we were ready to move our users in the other Office 365 tenant to the MSMG Office365 tenant. Over two weekends we consolidated three Office 365 tenants down to one, including user accounts, Exchange mailboxes, Team, SharePoint sites and OneDrive. During the planning stages we also decided to stand up Intune for all our windows devices.

Today all our new windows devices are built through Autopilot and managed by Intune. This move was a game-changer to the way we deploy and manage these devices.”
