Offensive security consultant

The Role

Stripe OLT is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Offensive Security team as an Offensive Security Consultant. This position offers a unique chance to be part of a growing, successful Managed Service Provider with established offices in London, Bristol, and Manchester.

Stripe OLT maintain a positive and highly collaborative working environment of skilled, confident and experienced security professionals who continually learn from one another and develop together as one of the industries more formidable security assessment teams.

This role will include both conducting and leading penetration testing engagements, scoping discussions and report delivery of projects to clients. A successful candidate will be confident in delivering web application and API penetration testing and where necessary, internal and external penetration tests.

Job Responsibilities.

  • Web Application Penetration Testing: Perform penetration testing on web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should also be able to assist in mobile application engagements where necessary.
  • Network Penetration Testing: Perform penetration testing on internal and external networks and other areas where necessary.
  • Client Delivery: The individual in this role must be capable of conducting consulting-level client facing engagements. It is essential that these engagements provide clients with constructive feedback, offering clear guidance on advancing their technological maturity.
  • Pre-Engagement Support: A successful individual for this role must be able to work well within internal teams, such as sales and Business Development Managers, to ensure smooth delivery of projects, from pre-sales to delivery.
  • Ongoing Development: The individual in this role must be willing to stay up to date with the latest cyber security trends, vulnerabilities and attacks, providing contribution of internal the Offensive Security department and processes where necessary.

Knowledge & Experience.

Skill Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Offensive Security Consultancy.
  • Demonstrated experience in Scoping, Proposal and creation of Offensive Security solutions.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of both Windows and Linux environments, with a deep understanding of web application technologies, including client-side, server-side and databases.
  • Strong understanding of OWASP.
  • API Penetration testing experience.
  • Security certifications such as CREST CRT, OSCP, OSWE or CTM are high desirable.

Beneficial Additional Experience

  • Experience in security assessments of cloud environments, including Azure and AWS
  • Ability to script in your language of choice
  • Involvement in previous research projects or contributions to CVE Mitre
  • Code review and/or IoT and/or thick client testing experience

Remuneration & Benefits.

  • Up to 55k salary depending on experience
