Proactive Security Consultant
The Role
We are seeking a Proactive Security Consultant to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in strengthening our clients’ security posture through proactive assessments, audits, and actionable insights.
The ideal candidate is someone who can balance creativity and communication skills with cyber security best practices. Someone who is an organised and punctual self-starter, capable of balancing workloads and working to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Completion of proactive security checks and reports offered as part of Stripe OLTs’ Managed SOC service.
- Working alongside our Security Analyst team, mentoring and guiding them as they assist with report completion and proactive report delivery.
- Perform vulnerability scans, analyse results, and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
- Develop and maintain security dashboards and reports using Power BI, providing clear, data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to implement cybersecurity best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify potential security risks and propose proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Support compliance initiatives, including documentation and reporting for audits.
- Assist with ad-hoc client requests pertaining to security best practices.
- Develop, streamline, and mature internal reporting and proactive security offerings.
- Deliver reports to and client engagement meetings.
Experience
Required:
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in organisational security posture management.
- Knowledge of security best practices, controls, and standards.
- Skilled in Power BI, capable of creating complex dashboards and actionable reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate technical findings into business-relevant insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to commit and hold to deadlines.
- Expertise within the Microsoft environment.
Helpful:
- Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with security tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or similar vulnerability scanning solutions.
- Relevant certifications.
- Network and firewall alert management.
- Active Directory and group policy management experience.
- Entra management experience.
- Ability to standardise processes for efficiency and productivity, leveraging automation where applicable/possible.
