SOC senior – Principal security ANALYST

The Role.

Stripe OLT is a UK based Microsoft Solutions Partner, MSSP, who are looking for a Principal Security Analyst to join our growing SOC team. Openings like this are rare, and we’re looking forward to finding the right person to join the team.

As one of our Principal Security Analysts, you will be the authority for Incident Response. Acting as chief escalation point for complex security incidents, overseeing containment, eradication, and engaging with key stakeholders.

Working with our SOC Manager you will lead on the implementation of processes, training and improvements to enhance alert triage, incident response, and technical capabilities within the team. Leveraging real world intelligence to further improve our detection and response capabilities.
 
This position demands technical excellence, and a proven history of operating to the highest standards of Cyber Security best practice when completing engagements. We need someone committed, a person of integrity who does the right thing even when no one is looking, an ideal team player.

Your Mission.

EXPERIENCE.

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in cyber security, particularly in incident response functions.
  • Expertise Investigating security incidents on Windows, Unix/Linux, and MacOS.
  • Proficient in Malware Analysis, digital forensics, report writing and threat mitigation and remediation.
  • Exemplary understanding of IT security, cloud and on premises infrastructure and Incident Response best practice.
  • History of mentoring junior members of the SOC.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of incident response frameworks and processes.
  • Proven history of IR engagements and can articulate this effectively.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE.

  • Industry recognised certifications such as: GCIH, GCFA, MS certs.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 & Azure security tools, including Sentinel and Defender.
  • Demonstrated expertise in PowerShell scripting and KQL.
  • Highly knowledgeable with penetration testing techniques and tools.
  • Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • A passion for process efficiency and automation.
  • Commitment to staying ahead of the curve with cyber security trends and technologies.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9-5, On-Call escalation
